Thousands of white bass turn up dead in Arkansas River

Oh my goodness just read this and it is very troublesome!

LITTLE ROCK, Ark (Reuters) - Wildlife officials have discovered thousands of dead fish along the Arkansas River in Little Rock and were still counting carcasses on Tuesday, a day after an angler reported seeing dozens of dead white bass.
"We are on the river trying to determine the extent of the fish kill," said Keith Stephens, public information coordinator for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
Wildlife investigators said the dead fish were mainly white bass, which are common in the river, and were between 5 and 8 inches long. Most were found near the foot of the Two Rivers Bridge, an 80-foot pedestrian bridge that opened in July.
An Arkansas Department of Pollution Control and Ecology official said toxins had not been eliminated as a potential cause and that oxygen levels had tested normal so far. Other test results for disease and parasites could take a month to conclude.

One more Day

September 21, 2011
Tomorrow we take our beautiful trawler out for a sea trial and Rich and I are very excited. I just got an email from Shirley and she said it is about an hour drive by boat to Gibson’s Boat Yard.  That will be a nice ride. We will be talking to Tom.  Tom told Jim if we called the marine when we leave the dock he would have the carry lift ready for us. As soon as we see the bottom of the boat we will exchange money and be new boat owners.
I guess the reason I am even more excited is the fact that the Lord picked out this boat for us.  This is His timing. So a new adventure is on the horizon.
This will be a short blog but once I get to actually have a ride in our Trawler I can really see what it will be like to travel with it.  I want to say thank you to everyone who tried to comment on the blog and were unable to get it posted. I never saw any comments so I guess there are parts of this blog site I need to learn how to use. I have read your comments on face book and I am flattered that everyone thinks we look good. The smile is from the inside out. Have a beautiful day.

Our search for the right boat

On Thrusday morning the Bright Morningstar will be awaiting our arrival. I know when we take it out for a sea trial it will run good and the engines will purr like a kitten.  Maybe not a kitten but larger cat. (After all we have two Volvo diesels).
Rich and I are both excited and tired.  We have been looking for boats for months (nonstop). We went to NY and look throughout the state and out to Long Island. From NY we made one fast trip to North Carolina (but I got to see my sister Cathi briefly). Then we went to Michigan, Ohio, NY and back to Florida.
When we got back to Florida we made a trip to Fort Lauderdale to look at a boat and then finally we found our new boat.  Her name was Mutual Fun she was docked on Dunn Creek. Dunn Creek leads into the Saint John’s River in the town of Palatka.

Rich and I are so grateful to Jim and Shirley for selling us their beautiful boat. Here is a picture I took of them the day we gave them our deposit.
Rich and I are going to keep in contact with them as they have become our dear friends.
We had a birthday party for Seth on Friday night.
We love our family

I feel like a princess today!

I love this crown and I know someday my crown will look something like this!
I feel like a princess Lord
How do I begin our devotional this morning Jesus? Thank you so much for finding us a beautiful Trawler at a price we could afford to spend for it.  I know my reacting at first was no way because it did not have a dinette but I can see now having that beautiful guest bedroom is nicer in the long run.
Thank you for also for the beautiful Christian couple Jim and Shirley who sold it to us so cheaply because they believed you lead us to them as we also believe.
I was so disappointed when the Heritage got sold out from under us yet that lead me to find the listing that Shirley posted on her trawler page. When I was so sad about the trawler being sold out from under us I got right back up and started our boat search again and I found our new Morningstar. It reminds me so much of our Trojan that I loved so much. You lead me to search for  36’ Sundeck Trawlers and their blog came up. Shirley was surprised as it was not listed for sale for a year. Lord you are truly amazing. Thank you so much Lord.
I am excited about or new adventures that will be coming each day. Lord you are so good to us. I love you so much. Happy Birthday Cathi

The Morningstar is awaiting our sea trial on Thrusday.

Hello and Praise the Lord for His wonderful love and joy, I know now what joy Jesus was talking about when Jesus said, "My Joy I will give to you, Not as the world gives joy. The world gives  a type of joy that is temperary happiness. The Lord's joy is everlasting peace and inner excitement and amazement of how Jesus knows the perfect timing. Without having to sell our house the Lord provided us a beautiful Trawler for us to live aboard and travel around the waterways of the intercoastal. At least for now and than our dream of the Great Circle Route (the loop) if the waterway is ever the same after all the flooding on the NY State Erie Canal and Mississippi River. Here is a treat to start you day!Just listen
