Having the Bottom Checked and painted

In two weeks from today we will be headed to New York State aboard our beautiful Morningstar.  A dream  that has been planned for many years. This morning we had to take the boat over to Hutckins Yacht Center to have it hauled out and see if there are any signs of blisters. Lost summer we had a  bottom job done. We had the bottom stripped twice to get out all the moisture, The Morningstar stayed on dry dock and left out of the water to dry for four months.  The work was guaranteed for 2 years .  We are hoping the bottom will not need painting. We have to check the zincs and props. We need to have Hutchins check the bottom for any signs of new blisters forming.

Only a few weeks before we leave

I traded in my iphone for an android phone. It is amazing how much more I am able to do with it. So for the past few days I have been working with over 1000 pictures that have gone into the cloud and then transfered to my new phone.  Just when I think I deleted them they show up again in another location. Now suddenly I have acsess on my phone to pictures stored in google from years ago, and I can't help enjoying the memories in each photo.
Where do the years go and why do they pass so quickly? When Rich and I first dreamed of traveling the wateways by boat we were so young. We were both working full time jobs and only dreamed of retirement and what the furture would hold. Now we are 68 years old and ready to start a new chapter in our lives and it is both exciting and scary. The Lord's timing is always perfect and with that assurance I am ready to move forward with joy in my heart at the adventures ahead in our future. On May 22 it will be only 10 days until our departure.  We are working hard to get ready and I am going to start this blog back up and I just started a new facebook page to also share our adventures it is   Adventures Aboard The M/V MorningStar

Here are a few memories from the past few years!

Be Blessed!
